Cookie Policy

This page explains the small files and similar technologies that may be used when you visit VegasInsider. Some are needed for the site to work; others help us understand visits or record a referral to an operator.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let the site remember your actions and preferences over time.

Essential cookies

These support security, page delivery and basic preferences. They may remember a privacy choice or help balance traffic. Because they are necessary for the service you request, they cannot always be switched off through an on-site control.

Analytics cookies

Analytics can show which pages are visited, how readers arrived and where technical errors occur. We use this information in aggregate to improve the site. Where consent is legally required, analytics cookies should not be set until that consent has been given.

Affiliate tracking cookies

When you click through to a casino brand, a cookie may record that the visit came from VegasInsider. The operator or affiliate network can then attribute a qualifying sign-up to us. Tracking periods vary by provider. This does not raise the price or change the offer shown to you.

Exact names and durations can vary slightly as providers update their services.

Third-party websites

Once you leave VegasInsider, the destination site may set its own cookies. We do not control those cookies. Check the operator’s privacy and cookie notices before creating an account or providing personal information.

Similar technologies

Cookies are not the only way a visit can be recognised. A provider may use local storage, pixels or a unique link parameter for security, measurement or referral attribution. We describe these together as cookies here because the choices and practical effect are similar.

What a cookie can contain

A cookie usually contains an identifier, a site name and an expiry time. It does not open files on your device. The identifier may allow separate page visits to be counted as one session, but it does not tell us your casino password or payment details.

Changing your mind

If you previously allowed optional cookies, you can clear them in your browser and adjust its privacy controls for future visits. Deleting a preference cookie may mean the site asks for your choice again. Browser help pages explain the steps for each device.

Managing cookies

Your browser lets you inspect, delete and block cookies, either for one site or for all sites. Private browsing and tracking-protection settings may also limit storage. Blocking essential cookies can affect how a page behaves, while blocking affiliate cookies may mean a referral is not credited to us.

How long cookies last

Session cookies disappear when the browser closes. Persistent cookies remain until their expiry date or until you remove them. The exact period depends on the purpose and provider, and should be no longer than reasonably necessary.
